This was awful but also not- she made a clear effort to pull her eyes back up to Nikki`s as she seemed to become more serious, only to end her sentence in another innuendo and make Jo flush all the more harder. By the time she looked up again, it was because suddenly Nikki was touching her shoulder and making her muscles tense up as much as possible, her shoulders hunching just slightly- she paused for an instant, staring down at what the mechanic`s clothes had taken it upon themselves to do-- before staring back at the ground again and nodding feverishly. "Y-Yeah-- that..." She meekly replied, her voice reduced to a near silent squeak. She moved a gloved hand up onto her shoulder, placing it atop Nikki`s- as if she intended to move the whitette`s hand away, but forgot to do so fully. "S-So uh... we`re in a-agreement, then...?"

Ryder glanced out of his hood slightly when Vulture Team was mentioned. Vulture Team…that had certainly been a long time ago. He took a moment to organize his thoughts, then took a deep breath, sitting up. He didn’t take his hood off, but he did sit up straight and actually look at Eagle and Marko, doing his best to ignore all of the porn sounds in the background. He was thinking about replying—when suddenly, Ryder heard the mention of the “event” from five years ago. For a moment, his eyes widened—before his brows furrowed and he turned away from the other two, pulling his hood up slightly.
”I’m fine,” he answered quietly. He didn’t want to have to think about that—it had been enough already to have been talking about the perpetrator—he didn’t need a direct reminder of the event. He crossed his arms on the table, and seemed to refuse to look at Marko again after that—though he did glance at Eagle and reply, ”I’m…pretty cool with most kinds of music…I don’t really have a preference…” As he spoke, he had a notable listlessness behind his voice—apparently reminding him of whatever had happened five years ago hadn’t exactly been a wise decision.

Nikki was enjoying this all too much. Every flush of Jo's cheeks made her grin grow wider, though she did seem slightly cautious after her touch made Jo tense. Once the bluenette had relaxed again, she went back to her carefree flirting, humming a bit as Jo spoke and rested a hand on hers. "Hmm... not quite yet..." she murmured, leaning into Jo and pressing her lips right up against her neck. "I want to know how I'm being paid here... since I'm assuming this is a job...?" The whitette grinned, making it seem almost as if that last part could have been an innuendo too though at first she hadn't intended it to be. She was enjoying this- even if Jo was taken, she reacted very nicely to her flirting... and she really loved how the color bloomed across her cheeks with just the simplest of phrases.

"Rock's not so bad...your music coming over here wasn't so bad--" Ryder said to Eagle slowly, glad for the change of subject. As Eagle asked him about Jo, especially Ryder paused for a moment, then gave a nostalgic grin, letting out a stifled chuckle. "Back when I first met Jo...that was when I first joined Vulture Team, way back when it was still pretty small...I was pretty sure that she was way too pretty and smart to realize that I even existed--especially considering I was the new guy and all...Man, that seems so long ago...feels like it was a lot longer than five years..." His mood seemed to have improved--and by this point, he was still sitting up and everything--despite the fact that he was keeping his hood up so that he wouldn't see a boob by accident out of the corner of his eye or anything. Ryder actually really appreciated that Eagle had asked about that--it had definitely put him into better spirits, at least. "So, you've been friends with Jo since the task force stuff--?"

He actually pulled his hood down, too, letting it rest on his shoulders. At Eagle's last statement, the redhead gave a bit of an awkward laugh, and grinned, "Well, I try--I wanna be able to be the kind of guy she deserves, you know?" He paused for a moment, then picked up a biscuit and offered it to Eagle--even though they were kind of Nikki's biscuits-- "Want a biscuit?" He did hear Marko, but the brunette was talking to Eagle, anyway, so he didn't really feel the need to respond--he hoped that he hadn't made him feel awkward...

Ryder nodded at Eagle's first statement, giving him an amiable smile--he was pretty sure that he could trust Eagle if Jo trusted him--then actually looked at the biscuits again at the words about not trusting the food at this place. That was...maybe a good point...? He'd already eaten one, and he basically felt alright, but you never knew...He began wondering if the restaurant provided butter for the biscuits, and was about to search the table for it when he heard Marko's frenzied voice, looking at him with a surprised expression, not really getting what the brunette was saying at all.
"R-Robot army--? Wh--" Was this guy...drunk? High? Maybe both? Ryder really had no idea, and honestly it worried him a bit. Had he missed something important back in No Man's Land that involved Eagle--? "I'm...not sure I know what you're talking about--?"

Her shoulders dropped to a more comfortable position, and her face having eased from obvious embarrassment to confusion- and then she started stripping. Jo`s free hand flew up to her face and just covered her eyes, as she began to struggle to sputter out some sort of incoherent objection and move away before something happened that she was gonna regret-- but the next time Nikki spoke, Jo untensed yet again, moving her fingers apart just enough to allow her good eye to peep through.
And there, she the first thing she noticed was a boob in Nikki`s hand. A boob she had seemingly just up and removed from her chest. "wH--" Jo choked, attempting to scramble away but only succeeding in smashing her spine against the steel sink behind her which made her yelp in surprise. She stared wide eyed at Nikki-- if that was even her real name-- in disbelief... and slowly, very slowly-- began to process the information given to her.
The color began to fade from her lobster-colored face until it was reduced to a noticeable pink glow on the apples of her cheek- and she dropped the hand from her face, letting it flop limp at her side for a moment before it very slooooowly moved up to one of the capsules on her belt. She flipped it open, and wiggled her fingers inside until she tugged out a sheet of paper (one that appeared to be some sort of battle plan if one could get a close enough look at the scribbled writing), rolled it up-- and proceeded to bring it down hard on Nikki`s head, all with her face locked in the same shocked expression. "NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. BAD. BAD JASPER--!" She just kind of kept doing that-- it wasn`t clear whether she was too deep in a state of shock to do much else, or if she just really wanted to make sure this started hurting at some point-- "GIDDOUT THE LADY`S ROOM RIGHT NOW-"

But... he doesn't remember anything, and Ryder doesn't remember anything - was he really insane? He began to retreat into himself.
Then his eyes grew wide. He heard a voice - Jo's? Probably. But it screamed for someone to get out of the women's restroom. He further retreated into himself. He couldn't function right now. He couldn't function right now. He couldn't function right. He couldn't function. He couldn't. He.
He arose from the table frantically, knocking over the chair and dashing to the men's room, vomiting into a toilet.

Jasper laughed for Jo's shocked and panicked reactions at first, amused by how she seemed to try and escape when it seemed he was stripping- but as soon as he'd turned around and she seemed to realize who he was, he paused. Her shocked expression made him cock his head to the side, examining her some before reaching out to pat her cheek- only to get smacked in the head. He yelped as she just kept it up, ducking and bobbing to try and avoid the next smack. "Jo- Jo- Jo, stop, come on--" he yelped, ducking away from her and into a stall. He rustled around for a few moments before he reemerged in his normal clothes, a grin on his face before he darted out of the ladies room. "It's nice to see you again too, Jo-" he commented, blowing her a kiss before turning around to see if someone was coming at him with something more dangerous than a rolled up paper. "And you're so harsh- what if five years made me want to be a woman, huh? Just gonna tell me I'm not allowed? That's rude~"

He trailed off slightly, and before he could continue, suddenly, Marko bolted. He blinked at the space the brunette had once been in in surprise, hoping that he hadn't offended him somehow. He almost wanted to check on him, but if Ryder had in fact offended him, he was pretty sure that the guy would want some alone time...So, instead, he looked back to Eagle, giving an apologetic smile and continuing, "Man...that place sure has got most of our best and worst memories, huh...? It's pretty crazy to think that we've been out of jail for five years now--and right after I'd gotten used to the place, too." He gave a small laugh, taking another bite of the biscuit he was working on, chewing thoughtfully before swallowing his bite and speaking again, "I can't help but wonder what happened to everyone sometimes--but if people from back then keep popping up like this, I won't be wondering for long, huh?"

Jo did not care for Jasper`s requests to stop, she very determinedly continued to bap him, growing more aggressive each time-- until the whitette retreated into a stall. Jo huffed, crossing her arms over her chest and kicking the stall door once in blatant frustration. "I DON`T LIKE YOU." She barked, still fierce- until Jasper emerged no less than a few moments later, now fully male-ified. That-- took way less time than it should have. Her eyebrows rose, then arched again as she remembered she was angry right now- but before she could say much else, he darted out of the ladies` room, and she quickly hurried after him, fists clenched at her sides. "DON`T MAKE THIS A POLITICAL THING YOU`RE A SHIT," She was slightly closer to him now- so, she reached forward and grabbed his scarf, tugging him back to pull him into a headlock- then sort of pulled him along with her as she trudged through the main room, toward the exit to this fine establishment. As she pulled him directly by Ryder and Eagle, she shouted, "HEY THIS IS JASPER HE`D BE OUR NEW OFFICER IF I WASN`T ABOUT TO KILL HIM-" She turned and pushed the doors to Porn and Biscuits open- then released Jasper, and smacked him upside the head. "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU CHILD." Jasper flinched a little as Jo just kept hitting him with more and more force, glad he managed to escape and change- but once Jo shouted at him, he clucked his tongue. "Oh, come on Jo, I was just playing around-!" he defended quickly, holding his hands up innocently as she followed him out of the bathroom. Her comments certainly managed a grin, especially because they were true- but that didn't stop a yelp of surprise as she snagged his scarf. "Hey, easy on the scarf-!!" he complained- before squirming as she pulled him into a headlock. He sputtered and tried to escape as she tugged him forward, pushing against her arm weakly as he was marched past Eagle and Ryder- though once she released him outside, he grinned. "Much nic- ow, fucking hell, Jo-" he protested, lifting a hand to rub his head where she had smacked him. "You call me the child- you're being a brat-" he muttered, frowning and pouting at her before backing up enough to hopefully avoid another smack. "... Jojo? That's fucking cute- what's up with that, you let him call you Jojo but I play around a little and you hit me? This is double standards, let the big muscled dude do what he wants while the skinny one gets stuck being rejected- I see I was wrong to think you might have missed me even a little-- guess it was just me then, yippee-"

"Hey, Nowhere is a pretty nice place--I think you'll like living the--" Ryder's response to Eagle was cut off by the din that Jo and Jasper generated--and as the two of them passed, Ryder looked back at the restroom, looking for Nikki, then back at Jo and Jasper--only to realize that he remembered Jasper, if only for the fact that the one time that he met Jasper, Jasper had been almost stark naked. In front of his girfriend.
It then occurred to Ryder that Jasper had been alone with his girlfriend in the lady's room. His mouth fell open at the casual air with which Jo was moving around with the whitette--and he couldn't deny the flush that spread across his face as he felt a pang of jealousy and protectiveness rending through the pit of his stomach. Exactly what had he been up to--disguising himself as a woman and bringing Jo into the lady's room--? What had gone down in there--? Jo seemed--panicked? But not really? Ryder couldn't tell--and he kept his thoughts to himself, begrudgingly tugging his hood back up over his head and getting to his feet. He paused for a moment, trying to collect himself before looking at Eagle and managing to give him a half-hearted smile. "Guess it's time to get going, huh? We can--uh--talk more in the car." With that, Ryder shoved his hands into his jacket pockets and moved outside--hurrying past Jo and Jasper's reunion without a word and heading over to Eagle's monster truck, climbing up to the door and letting himself into the shotgun seat, with the thought in mind that Jo and Jasper were probably going to want to sit next to each other--however, he paused midway inside, considering how horrible his thought process now was, only making him feel more guilty. He seemed to wither a bit, instead jumping back down and waiting by the side of the vehicle, intent on letting people pick whichever seats they wanted. He wasn't really sure how he felt right now--maybe he was still shaken up from all of the porn. If only he knew what had happened in the bathroom--even though he was pretty sure that absolutely nothing happened, since he trusted Jo--maybe he would feel better, he thought. Still, this whole reveal had come as a bit of a shock--ad knowing that Eagle had been in on it was a little rough, too. Knowing now that two of the members of Jo's task force were here--Ryder felt strange. He didn't want to feel jealous. He knew that being jealous right now was a horrible thing for him to do, but he couldn't help it. These two had been with Jo during one of Ryder's weakest times in No Man's Land--and that truth stung. He didn't know how to act. While he felt a litte more comfortable around Eagle now, he had no idea how he was even going to talk to Jasper...he knew that Jasper was just a friend, but...
He shook his head, reaching inside his hood and running a hand through his hair, effectively knocking his hood back off his head. He was panicking, and he didn't even know why. He had to get himself convinced that this situation was totally normal--and fast.

And pretending it hadn`t been five years was much easier to do than acknowledging... everything ever. There wasn`t too much of No Man`s Land she could vividly remember due to her own reasons, but she did remember that Jasper was the reason CP-02 and her hadn`t disintegrated the entire world. Also that they had kissed once-- whatever.
She scowled at Eagle as he came outside soon after, snapping at him as well as she grew increasingly flustered and upset. "HURTING HIM MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER." However, she had found herself hoping that her and Jasper would actually get a second to themselves... there were a few things she wanted to say, when they stopped joking- after what had happened five years ago, he had disappeared without a trace... and she had rehearsed a bunch of times what she would say if she saw him again-- but, it wasn`t turning out as planned, and that only made her more angry. Thinking about five years ago was frustrating because there was so much to be said but not enough words to phrase it properly.
"Using a nickname and doing--- whatever the fuck that was are two entirely different things-! Don`t try to be smart, it doesn`t suit you-" She barked, "Yer fuckin` twink status is completely unrelated to yer creep status, too- totally unrelated-" Ryder passed by wordlessly, and Jo involuntarily stiffened- her eyes flitting his direction, then back to Jasper. The energy he seemed to radiate as he walked by made her heart sink, and she wasn`t sure why, or what that feeling even was... but, she knew she`d have to save this for later. Right now, they had to get back to Nowhere so they could get ready to go to Mt. Skull, as Kraven had instructed.
"...Look-- just-- yer still working for us. Except yer not getting paid because you aren`t as useful as Nikki was, alright? Just c`mon, call it a kidnapping-" If only because he had explicitly told her not to do so earlier, Jo went ahead and grabbed Jasper by the end of his scarf so she could just pull him along as she walked off the steps of Biscuits and Porn, heading back to Eagle`s monster truck. "There`s enough room for four in there, right--? If not, I can just sit on Ryder`s lap-- no opposition here--" She called back to Eagle, "We gotta head back to Nowhere, I`ve wasted enough time in this shithole--!" She stopped once she neared the truck and Ryder, at which point she very aggressively released Jasper while shoving him back some- then looked up at the redhead, her expression and voice softening considerably, "You got out of your shell earlier...?"
