Wings of Malice: Finish the Hunt

The year is 3064x
On the planet Carina.
The place is Ka'elem Citystate

On Carina, there are creatures known as 'Avians' or, people with wings. Everyone has a large pair of wings, and everyone was able to fly. Everyone lived in peace, ruled by a Royal Family. The family had two brothers, Abel, known for his calm mind, gentle personality, and glittering White Wings. And then, Cain, known for his hotheadedness, flirty personality, and shining Ebony Wings. They both ruled together, under equal rule for all people. But of course, as all stories go, something had to happen. The wife of Abel told him that she didn't like seeing Cain flirting with the handmaids, and that he was betraying the kingdom with such crude actions. Abel didn't believe this, and choose to ignore his wife, but the seed of doubt was planted. Abel soon confronted Cain about his actions, but Cain didn't understand why he was bringing this up now. Soon, the fighting between the brothers got worse and worse. It was unavoidable...war broke out. Abel led his elite White Wing knights, and Cain led a revolution of Black Wings.

The war was long and hard, the citystate was a war zone and by the end of the war it was in absolutely ruin...however, a victor emerged. Abel won.

With it, History was rewritten, and the black wings were banished from the citystate, cursed to live in their shadow.

Years then past, the propaganda didn't stop, White Wings are taught to think Black Wings are inferior...and the Black Wings live in the dregs of society, no longer able to live with Avianity. The city has expanded a large amount.

Time: Current Year 3172c
Place: Gale City

Gale City is the lovely and terrible place. The city is split into two cities, seperated by a large and deep divide. There are two cities, both the same size, and yet, one of them dominated the other.

White Wing Territory: New Gale is where the White Wings live, they are able to walk the glittering streets without fear, and its a beautiful place, filled with gardens and everything one could think of. On the far side is the palace, heavily guarded, but open to the public. The rule is now King Reyson, recently crowned the King of Gales, and rules Gale City with love for his people, and yet, keeping the old traditions alive.

White Wings: The White Wings themselves are educated and well versed in their their craft or job. They take pride in themselves and don't associate themselves with a Black Wing, unless it is their slave. They can be trained to be part of the royal army or guard, and all White Wings can do what they call, "The Purge" which is going into the Black Wing territory and killing or capturing Black Wings for slave use. Any fratinizing with a Black Wing is treason, and the people who do so will stand trial before the king, and will likely find themselves guilty. Baring a child with a Black Wing is even worse, because they will alway be BlacK Wing (The genes are stronger Ironically)

The Royal Family: The Royal Family consists of three people mostly. King Reyson, a man who is fearless in battle, and yet gentle with his people. His sister, Lirna, who though has a disability to where talking is difficult, she is well loved, and their advisor. They control the royal army and tell the people when the purges are to happen. The army is vast and well armed.

Black Wing Territory: Old Gale is where the Black Wings live, in the dregs of the city. It's beat up, not well taken care of, and mostly in ruins, for good reason. There are the basics, food, water, and shelter for the Black Wings, but not much else is there. Everything is in ruin due to the frequent Purges that happen in Old Gale, where the White Wings come and wreck the place. However, it's enough to make a home, and to have a family. It's not all bad...just hard to look at.

Black Wings: The Black Wings aren't as educated as the White Wings, but they know how to fend for themselves and work with others, more so then the White Wings. They know all the best hiding spots, and since they are used to living in the shadow of the White Wings, most of them are soft spoken and accept their fate. Though, there are some who want to rise up against the White Wings in revolution.

Malice: The organization is called "Malice" It is made of people who are tired of the White Wing oppression, and will stand up and fight against them. Think of them as the Dawn Brigade from Fire Emblem, if you want more information. They are seen as criminals and are very wanted. Their leader is named Naesala, a cunning and cool Black Wing.

Note: There is no Magic in this RP, only weapons. And even though the year is so high, they wield swords, lances, and weapons of that sort.

The Story of the Wings War Starts!~

Isabel pushed open the door to Gabriella's bedroom and knocked a few times on the open door before stepping inside.  Lady Gabriella was sitting at the edge of her bed, wearing the nightgown she always wore to bed.  She always looked so beautiful to Isabel, even first thing in the morning. If she hadn't known the woman for so many years, she might have thought she was a goddess. "Lady Gabriella... good morning."  

Gabriella looked in the direction of Isabel's voice and smiled. "Good morning, Isabel, my dear." she greeted her servant, extending a hand out towards her. Every morning Isabel came to help her get ready for the day, and every day she greeted her the same.

Isabel smiled and blushed faintly at the noble's greeting, as she always did in the morning.  Taking Gabriella's hand, she helped the woman to her feet and assisted her in changing out of her nightgown and into a simple, but elegant white dress, of which she possessed quite a few.  Grabbing Gabriella's cane sword, she handed it to the noble, who took hold of the item gently before standing and using it to guide herself to the door. Isabel followed closely behind, always concerned about her lady.

"Well then, Isabel. Shall we start off the day with a walk and get some fresh air?"

Small footsteps could be heard in the alleyways of Old Gale, as a young boy ran through the tight spaces he knew so well, hopping over crates and boxes, running along pipes to cross certain areas, until at last, he came to a stop in one of the streets of the old, ruined city, and looked up to the sky.
"...What a nice day...!"
The boy grinned up at the blue sky above, smiling even with all of the ruin and destruction around him. It didn't matter that they had to live like this--they were alive, and that was all that Dio needed to be happy!

The sun was shining, there was a gentle breeze blowing across and the city--
And Toivo honestly felt kind of grumpy. Whoops.
He was walking through New Gale, sighing to himself while he thought about the misdemeanors he'd seen committed over the years. He hadn't really done much about it--sure, he'd visited Black Wing territory a lot, blending in by charcoaling his own white wings, but that really wasn't doing anything for the political situation. And yet, he knew that if he spoke out against the bad treatment of the ebony winged oppressed, then he'd be shot down immediately--maybe even executed. Having such radical ideas was really tough--he hated to see these things happening, and yet, he couldn't do anything about it. And it just made him plain old upset.

Forte walked along the black rooftops, silent like a grey black ghost gliding across the roofs, He had hidden his single wing inside his cloak and his face veiled by his hood... He looked to his right as he turned around a chimney atop an office in the white wing district, and saw his target looking down at the street below from her window... He checked the picture he had of the underground bounty target... He spoke to himself in his low ever ominous voice...Hmm... Arte Axton... Death's job is never done... He ran wielding his hand scythes in front of him then jumped head first towards the window releasing his wing and with a single jet upwards he doubled his momentum spinning like a bullet with his wing around him, he crashed through the window of the white wing HQ... He rolled into the building turning to his target and pulling his wing back under his cloak... he silently pointed one hand scythe at her.

"Oh--! Good morning, Miss!" Dio turned on his heel to face the young lady who'd addressed him, grinning at her. He had to make sure to be polite--he wanted to make his grandma proud, after all! "The weather is really nice, isn't it? How are you doing today?" Oh, wait! She was a lady! You were supposed to compliment ladies, he'd totally forgotten! "Oh--um--! Your dress looks really--blue today!" Yup--Nailed it.

"My day has just been super duper! The weather's great, and me and Grandma even have some extra food today! I managed to find more than usual, and she was really happy!" He was absolutely beaming, seeming quite proud of himself. At her compliment to his clothes, he nodded enthusiastically, then replied, "I like the color orange, because it's the color of the sunrise! And blue, because it's the color of the sky! Oh, oh, and I love red! Because it's the color of apples! I really like apples. Have you ever tried an apple before, Miss?"

Forte stood there silently holding his scythes... This one wasn't lying... An honest white wing? There had to be some, too bad someone wanted her head... He looked at her from beneath his hood, something was odd about her... she was much more relaxed than any normal White Wing would be in front of a Black Wing... The door opened and two guards rushed in, they opened the door inward putting him behind the door out of sight... He hooked their heads with his scythes pulling them behind the door as well, their heads rolling to the floor... He spun forward putting the blunt side of his right scythe against Arte's neck... Suddenly more guards filled the doorway and a White wing Forte recognized from pictures as 'The King' came in pushing past the guards... that was stupid wasn't the point of guards being they guarded you?... Forte looked at the King and his Guards then moved his eyes to Arte... "Why do i always get the weird jobs?" he thought to himself... He spoke in his cold deep assassins voice... No One is Above Death... He grabbed Arte then jumped out the window with her... he leaped with a single blast from his wing into the building beside this one, the one he had been on the roof of before, He wrapped her in his wing as he spun and slipped into an open window on the third floor... He ducked them out of the room they landed in, keeping Arte's mouth covered so she didn't yell out, and moved into the next hall staying low and away from the door so no one looking out the window they just leaped from could see them... He uncovered Arte's mouth and put one finger in front of his lips, his face still hidden by his hood... Are you alright miss?.

He looked at Arte to make sure she was alright, and silent... then spoke in a low whisper to her as he stood then looked left and right down the halls... Of course he will, you're the 3rd assassination this week, you're the highest rank this week... Well It's not really an assassination anymore is it?... He took her hand and ran down the hall stopping before each door, stopping to listen for anyone then bolting to the next one... when he got to the fourth door on the right he stopped and heard a guard fly in... the man walked slowly out the door... Forte ducked quickly, being so big he was used to having to hide and move fast on missions... The guard saw Arte and looked relieved to find her... Forte put one scythe under his ribs and one under his chin as he stood up, pulling them hard upward into his heart and throat... then moved into the room the guard just came out of and quietly put him in the closet... wiping his scythes on the mans coat... then grabbed Arte's hand and ran into the room across the hall, it lead to a stair well, he started heading down the stairs... Don't worry it was painless... And I've only ever been caught once... He tapped his left shoulder with his finger.

They continued down the stairs moving quickly... Forte waiting each floor to check for Guards... they were almost to the basement... When he pointed to his wingless shoulder he felt her hand change grip and a tug as a slight change to her pace occurred, he darted a brief look at her face and read the emotion in her eyes and expression, she felt strong contempt and confusion... but it wasn't directed at him?... What a weird White Wing... The look was near hateful but her hand was relaxed and kind, it wasn't tense and her eyes showed she wasn't thinking about him even though she was looking at him... Was there something wrong with her?... Shit he didn't hold off on killing a messed up White Wing commander did he?... They got to the basement floor and stopped he let go of her hand then silently stared at her reading her intently checking for nervousness, false emotion, phasing in and out thoughts, side effects of drugs maybe... Hmm... Nothing?... He turned his head sideways trying to look at her from another angle... yeah nothing!... Was she a black wing in disguise?... that would make sense... but again no!.... He gave up trying... walked over to a section of crates storing old files in the basement and moved around them... he pulled a drape back laying on the ground over a square shape the exact size of one of the crates to reveal sewer port... he opened it and gestured down the hole, pulling out a torch from under his cloak and holding it out to her after lighting it... You first... Have to hide the entrance... It didn't matter save this one she'd never be able to find her way around the sewers... Black wings that made them in the past made it like a three dimensional labyrinth needing to fly well in the cramped sewers in order to get around fully... Forte was used to it, he was 6'6" and had one wing, he'd already be dead if he didn't know how to fly well in tight spots... not that he could really fly.

"Today has just been great~!" Dio gave a big smile, then seemed like he realized something. "Oh! I forgot to introduce myself! My name is Dio! What's your name, Miss? Oh--and--what does 'passion' mean?" he asked, curious about her remark about the apples' color. "Apples are my favorite food ever! They're so good!"
